Tail Creek Snowbirds Snowmobile Trail

Tail Creek Snowbirds has established an ASA recognized and landowner approved snowmobile trail just west of Erskine, AB. With a round trip loop of around 35kms and 2 warm up shelters, it is perfect for an afternoon family ride.
We have incorporated our Tee Pee and the Cabin on the Creek.
The Tail Creek Snowbirds have currently got 2 warm up locations. The first one the club set up is a Tee Pee style building that was acquired from the town of Stettler. The second shack was a summer retreat cabin that was donated to us by Al Tremell and Johnston’s.
The Tee Pee was used as the tourist information booth located on the S.E. corner of  59st and 47ave (hwy 56 and hwy 12).  The current location of our Tee Pee is just south of hwy 601, south of Buffalo lake. We have got an outhouse/washroom facility up on the hill also. With a wood stove and a couple of led lights, it can be used for refuge day or night.
The Cabin was located along the waters edge in the community of Rochon Sands on Buffalo Lake. It is a 22′ x 24′ cedar building that we have also outfitted with a wood fireplace and some LED lights for day and night use. The cabin has been relocated from the the lake edge to the rivers (creek) edge right along Tail Creek just north of hwy 12, east of Alix. An outhouse is on site for those small but serious emergencies that can arise.
